We are the Syracuse Chapter of New York State Loving Education at Home, a Christian cooperative support group of homeschooling families in the Syracuse area. We invite anyone to be a member. Take some time to look around and please contact us if you have any questions.

Our Next Meeting:

On Monday May 7th we will be having our short Annual Business Meeting. Immediately following this, a veteran homeschooling mom will be speaking.  We will be benefiting from this gentle woman’s reflections on her years of teaching and raising her family. Come and bring any questions for her you may have.

Field Trips

Wednesday, April 11th; Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame
The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum and the Farmers’ Museum, welcome families and groups who participate in home school education to a special day of programming.

Wednesday, April 25th;  Fort Stanwix National Monument will host its first home-school day.“A Day in the Life” is a six-hour,FREE event for home-school families will feature interdisciplinary hands-on learning experiences provided by park staff and volunteers, highlighting daily life at the “fort that never surrendered.”

The 2012 LEAH Region 5 Art Show (for students grades 7th–12th) will be held on Friday, May 11th, 2012 at NCAC “Arts on the Square” (located on 52 Public Square, Watertown, NY 13601).

  The 2012 Syracuse LEAH Annual Used Curriculum Sale will be held from 7:00pm–9:00pm on Monday, May 14th, 2012 at Faith Heritage School Gym (located at 3740 Midland Ave, Syracuse).

  • 6:00pm – Vendors arrive and set up
  • 6:30pm – Shopping for vendors and UCS volunteers
  • 7:00pm–9:00pm – Shopping (LEAH members FREE; non-LEAH $5 per family)

There is a 2 vendor per table maximum.  If you would like to be a vendor, follow these instructions:
Send a 3×5 card with Name, address, email address, phone number, Name of LEAH chapter you are presently a member of (information needed for both vendors if sharing), a check to Syracuse LEAH for $8 (LEAH member) or $18 (non-LEAH member), and SELF-ADDRESSED STAMPED ENVELOPE to:
